Digital Anthropology
Philadelphia, United States of America

Summary

In contemporary ethnographic context, historic, and prehistoric contexts, my research (published in peer-reviewed journals) uses virtual reality, Bayesian modeling and computer focused 3d spatial analysis to critically examine and understand social landscapes from the perspectives of pre-Civil War enslaved peoples, contemporary Maya, and the ancient Maya. Beyond anthropology, my research and methods have been designed to interface with digital humanities programs that are developing across the United States.
